Connect Fixeets to Claude, step by step

In each app's tab, "Connect it now" fills everything in for you. Prefer to do it yourself? Four steps in Claude. You need Fixeets Inventory installed and a Claude account that can add a custom connector.

One connector per app: for Maintenance, Orders or Rental, repeat these steps from that app, with its own address and its own name.

  1. 1In Claude

What you can ask Claude to do with your stock

Write the way you would to a colleague. Claude picks the right Fixeets action, writes it to your file and tells you what changed. A few real examples:

Stock in and stock out

“We received 20 boxes of 1/4-20 bolts from Fastenal.”

“Take 3 hard hats out for the Dallas job.”

What Claude does: Records the movements (in, out, return or reservation) so the stock history stays correct.

Bulk import

“Import this supplier file.”

What Claude does: Reads the file you attach and adds the items or suppliers in one go, instead of typing them row by row.

Reordering

“What do I need to reorder this week?”

What Claude does: Checks stock levels against your safety stock and lists what is running low.

Physical count

“Start a count for aisle B and record my figures.”

What Claude does: Opens the count, records your quantities and shows the gaps before you close it.

Purchase orders

“Prepare an order to Fastenal for everything below safety stock.”

What Claude does: Creates the supplier purchase order with the right items, ready to check in the app.

Warehouses and transfers

“Move 10 drills from the Dallas warehouse to the Austin store.”

What Claude does: Creates the transfer; the Austin store then sees it waiting to be received.

Your data, your rights, your choice

The connector follows the same rules as the Fixeets app. Here is exactly what it can and cannot do.

Data stays in your Google Sheet

Claude reads and writes your Fixeets Inventory file in your own Google Drive. Fixeets does not keep a copy of your stock data elsewhere.

Only the files Fixeets created

Fixeets uses Google's "drive.file" access: it can only open the files the Fixeets app created. The rest of your Drive is out of reach.

Same rights as in the app

Each person signs in with their own Google account. Collaborator permissions and your Fixeets plan apply exactly as they do in the app.

Deletions need your confirmation

Before deleting anything or making a large change, Claude sums up what will change and waits for your explicit yes.

Disconnect at any time

Remove the connector in Claude's settings, and revoke Fixeets' access on your Google account permissions page: myaccount.google.com/permissions

What you share with Claude

What you ask Claude to read (item names, quantities, attached files) is sent to Anthropic, the company behind Claude, like any Claude conversation. You choose what you share.

FAQs

Claude and Fixeets Inventory: common questions

Yes, through the Fixeets Inventory connector. Once connected, Claude records stock in, stock out, returns and reservations, imports items and suppliers, creates purchase orders and runs physical counts. Everything is written to your Fixeets Google Sheet, with the same movement history as the app.

It is an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard Claude uses to plug into other tools. The Fixeets connector gives Claude 39 Fixeets Inventory actions: items, stock movements, imports, purchase orders, physical counts, kits, warehouses and suppliers. Claude picks the action that matches what you write.

Yes. The Claude connector is included in the free plan (Standard). The usual limits of each plan still apply, such as the number of items, movements and users. If an action goes beyond your plan, nothing is written and Claude tells you why. You also need a Claude account that allows custom connectors.

No. Fixeets asks Google for "drive.file" access only, which means it can open just the files the Fixeets app created. Your other Drive files stay out of reach of Fixeets, and so of Claude through this connector.

Only with your explicit confirmation. Before a deletion or a large change, such as many rows at once or closing a count, Claude sums up what will change and asks you first. A wrong movement is corrected rather than deleted, so your stock history stays clean.

Yes. Each person connects with their own Google account, and Claude only gets that account's rights in Fixeets. What a collaborator cannot do in the app, they cannot do through Claude either.

Not today. The Fixeets connector (an MCP server) is built and tested for Claude, not for ChatGPT or for Gemini in Google Sheets. If other AI assistants are supported later, this page will say so.

Start with Fixeets Inventory, then connect Claude

Install Fixeets Inventory from the Google Workspace Marketplace and create your stock file. Then choose your app above: one click on "Connect it now" opens Claude with the connector already filled in.
