The app requests camera access only to scan barcodes. Google sign-in is the only authentication Fixeets uses - there is no separate Fixeets password or biometric step. You sign in once and stay signed in; you may be asked to sign in again after an app update, but no inventory data is lost in the process, since it lives in your Google Drive, not on the device.
